It's been a while since you heard from the Joe Williams Club. Lomie Shannon, our illustrious President, has been out ill since the end of March. He is recuperating at home and hopes to be back at the bridge table in two to three weeks. He appreciates the many cards, phone calls, visits, and especially the prayers of LABU. Xavier LeeRay was hospitalized for a few days, but is home now. Call or send a card.
Our club added two new members this year, Gayle Dennis and Henry Sands. We welcome them heartily. Gayle has been assisting our Vice-President, Genevieve Kyle, since our President has been out ill. We appreciate the other members pitching in and doing what is necessary to keep our games going. Couldn't do it without you. Doris Ayers, one of our associate members, has stepped in and helped out as well. Her actions show us what a real Unit is all about. It's not just about "our club", it's OUR UNIT!! Keep up the good work folks.
